The U.S. Embassy Compound Security Upgrade project in Dhaka successfully enhanced the security infrastructure of the embassy facilities, providing a robust and secure environment for diplomatic operations. Epik led this critical initiative with a focus on strategic planning, efficient execution, and comprehensive risk management, adhering to the established sequencing schemes and timelines outlined in the project solicitation.
To ensure minimal disruption to ongoing embassy operations, the project involved meticulous coordination of work both inside and outside the Chancery, Marine Security Guard Residence, GSO Office, Commissary, and Motorpool Buildings. Our team implemented specific mitigation measures, including scheduling non-intrusive work during off-duty hours and utilizing night shifts for critical tasks, thereby maintaining a seamless operation throughout the construction period.
Key elements of the project included the construction of the Chancery Compound Perimeter Wall, which was executed in segments to uphold security integrity at all times. Temporary fencing made from durable metal panels mounted on jersey barriers was erected to secure open areas during construction. We also ensured that openings created during the replacement of windows and other security features were effectively covered with plywood or metal panels to prevent potential breaches.
