Epik-Aquashine JV's project scope is to provide comprehensive engineering, material, and labor services for the replacement of the current wastewater treatment system at the U.S. Consulate General in Karachi, Pakistan. This critical project encompasses the replacement of essential lift station components and the moving bed biofilm reactors (MBBR) wastewater treatment system. Our goal is to enhance the Consulate's capability to effectively treat and dispose of domestic wastewater through a constructed wetland system.
This project will address the entire wastewater treatment process at the Consulate, starting with the wastewater collection system that gathers used water from the compound. It involves the conveyance of this wastewater through a series of lift stations and sewer lines, ultimately leading to the MBBR system. The existing system includes two grease traps in the main kitchens, six lift stations, a septic tank system, and the MBBR, after which the water flows into the wetlands.
Our approach will involve a detailed analysis and redesign of the existing system, focusing on upgrading the lift stations and the MBBR system. The new design will ensure a more efficient and reliable treatment of wastewater, adhering to environmental standards and improving the overall functionality of the system. We will oversee the dismantling of outdated components and the installation and commissioning of the new system, ensuring minimal disruption to the Consulate's operations.
Additionally, our project will ensure that the transition from the old system to the new one is seamless, with particular attention to maintaining the ecological balance of the existing wetlands. By implementing this upgrade, we aim to reinforce the Consulate's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable wastewater management.
