The project aims to modernize the Consulate’s wastewater treatment system by replacing and enhancing critical components, specifically the lift stations and Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) system. This comprehensive upgrade includes system-wide analysis, redesign, and the integration of new, sustainable technology to improve wastewater management from initial collection to final disposal through a constructed wetland system. The goal is to ensure reliable, eco-friendly operations that meet high environmental standards.
The project involves several major improvements: First, a complete evaluation and redesign of existing components to maximize operational efficiency and environmental compliance. Additionally, six lift stations that manage wastewater flow will be replaced with advanced equipment, ensuring reliable functionality. A new, extended aerated waste water treatment system will also be installed to optimize the biological treatment process, ensuring the wastewater is effectively processed before discharge. Finally, the treated water will be safely directed to the Consulate’s constructed wetland, enabling natural filtration and sustainable water management.
Upon completion, the enhanced wastewater treatment system will offer significant benefits, including improved treatment efficiency, ecological balance, and long-term sustainability. Treated water will be safely discharged into the constructed wetland, supporting local environmental preservation and aligning with the Department of State’s commitment to responsible waste management. This project, managed by Epik-Aquashine JV, highlights a dedication to advancing sustainable infrastructure while fostering a more environmentally responsible approach to wastewater treatment.
