Technical Office Architect

The Technical Office Architect will oversee the design development process, ensuring all architectural designs are accurate, complete, and constructible. This role includes reviewing design documents for omissions and mistakes, conducting quantity takeoffs, and preparing submittals and shop/coordination drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Review: Assess architectural designs for completeness, accuracy, and constructibility, identifying any omissions or errors.
• Quantity Takeoffs & Market Research: Conduct quantity takeoffs and market research to inform project planning and budgeting.
• Submittals & Coordination: Prepare submittals and shop/coordination drawings, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Issue RFIs: Generate Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design intent and resolve potential issues.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all designs adhere to applicable building codes and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in architectural project oversight, focusing on design control in construction projects.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with design review software and tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
